Louisiana has been #1 in the world for the past decade in incarcerations. 95% of individuals incarcerated will release and return to communities across the state. RBF's unique approach is improving the quality of life for the offender and their families, with a focus on their children. No other non-profit organization in the state is as laserfocused on providing those three key elements that insure offenders do not return to prison and that their families have access to much needed resources: Nurturing Parenting Skills (Children of the Incarcerated are 75% more likely to be abused and neglected); Solutions to Poverty/Financial Management (65% of families that have an incarcerated loved one live in poverty); and Family Reunification (80% of marriages or relationships will likely breakdown when one spouse/partner is incarcerated, a key ingredient to further family dysfunctions and economic instability). MAKING AN INVESTMENTThere are a number of ways to
support our work. Please consider not just making a donation to an
organization that does "good things", but rather
MAKING AN INVESTMENT in human capital
insuring a better quality of life not only for the families we
serve, but your family as well. |
